Overview

Hawkeye 9060-4GP2GS is a high-performance managed 4-port, 10/100/1000 GbE PoE++ (IEEE 802.3 bt) downlink, 2-port GbE SFP uplink, and 2-Digital input for sensors, mainly designed for high energy demanding IP surveillance and monitoring applications in the most modern smart systems. It supplies 60/90 Watts, which flows uninterruptedly including during system reboots. It collects real-time environment data through the digital inputs. The RJ45 type console port allows outbound network troubleshooting when networks go wrong. The USB port, designed to save configuration files, save system log files, and upgrade firmware, reduces network downtime and operational costs. The SFP ports offer long-distance, noise-free fiber transmissions. It offers auto-negotiation on all its ports and Modbus TCP to aggregate devices easily in industrial Ethernet applications.

To protect from system intrusion and multiple threats that arise from widespread public connectivity the device follows cybersecurity standards that protect vulnerable networks. The wide operating temperature of -40℃~75℃ (-40°F~167°F) is suitable for most indoor and outdoor smart city and building applications. The grounding limits the effects of noise due to electromagnetic interference (EMI), and the reset button restores the device to default factory settings if an issue arises after configuration.

Features

Collects Data for Smart Interactive Systems
The digital inputs of this device are used to collect data from the environment and control smart applications systems to alert citizens. Data collected from sensors drive applications like pollution control on streets, pandemic control applications like thermal monitoring systems, and smart lighting posts to connect cities.

Power-Demanding Applications and Smart Building Systems
Compliant with Type 3 and Type 4 PoE (IEEE 802.3 bt) this switch offers a total power budget of 360W and 240W in its existing versions for applications with high power demands. PoE++ 60W designed for outdoor security & traffic monitoring applications with 270° dome-type surveillance cameras, and PoE++ 90W designed for home lighting, broadband, and security applications. The switch allows simple “plug-n-play” for PDs to interact with devices as soon as they are connected.

Uninterrupted Power to Powered Devices
Smart applications with high power demands require uninterrupted power to avoid affecting the performance of PDs - hence outdoor cameras with integrated heating systems should continue running to avoid freezing in the cold and the lights should keep on to stay productive. The PD features Perpetual- and Fast PoE; when activated assure the uninterrupted supply of energy even if the switch needs to be restarted.

Manages Remote PDs from the Control Room
The switch management interface uses PD control features, like PD-alive check and PoE scheduling, to control remote devices from a central location.

  • PD alive Check - check the live active status of the device and reboots devices when needed, reducing expensive trips to remote locations to save valuable time.
  • PD scheduling - Ethernet switches can schedule the time they supply power to PDs to reduce power consumption and allocate enough power to important applications to save operational costs.

Shielded against Cyberattacks
By securing the switch with a log-in password, only authorized users are allowed to access and configure the device. To increase security, the device complies with cybersecurity standards by using security protocols like TACACS+ (Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System Plus), RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service), and RMON (Remote Network Monitoring), and protects from network intrusion and data leakage.

Loop-Free and Quick Recovery
Factory processes are time-sensitive and need to avoid at all costs the abrupt interruption of a system caused by loops. This device is equipped with ring protocols such as RSTP, ERPS, and Xpress Ring to provide automatic backup paths to ensure loop-free transmission and quick recovery in sub-milliseconds when an active link fails.

Network at Glance with a Smart Topology Map
For easy problem finding and troubleshooting, a bird-eye view of the network gives OT and IT users a comprehensive understanding. The Ethernet switch uses smart technology to discover third-party devices, their interface, and link path status in a tri-color code (green, amber, and red). Furthermore, users can set up the map with customized icons and background images.

Protective Hardware Monitoring Features
Fiber transmission in industrial environments faces conditions that may impact the performance of the device negatively. To protect the interface the switch uses features like DDMI, to monitor values such as temperature, voltage, TX bias, TX power, and RX power to protect fiber transmission.

Resistant to Extreme Environments
The device is built with Industrial grade components, tested in-house, and certified for reliable operation in harsh environmental conditions by international market safety organizations like CE, FCC, and ROHS. Strong tolerance to extreme temperatures (-40°C~75°C), and resistance to interference makes this device infallible in demanding industrial environments around multiple types of machinery.
